Tours, Field Trips & Workshops
The Green Zone's outdoor exhibits, including some basic information on signs, are always open to anyone to explore on their own at anytime. But if your group wants a more detailed, guided tour, or your class is looking for a unique field trip, or you want to learn how to do something with your own hands in a workshop, we may be able to help -- depending on volunteer availability. WorkshopsPeriodically the Green Zone teams up with the Spokane County Conservation District, the WSU/Spokane County Extension, or other entities to offer special hands-on workshops to help you learn how to plant or prune a tree, compost garden waste, install a drip irrigation system, or other sustainable practices. These workshops, which usually involve a small fee to cover costs, are advertised through the local news media and featured here. Stay tuned.....
