Our goal is to provide a public learning center containing information about environmentally sound alternatives to traditional practices so that individuals can make choices for a more sustainable lifestyle.

The Green Zone ...

• demonstrates water conservation and aquifer protection methods through stormwater management systems, xeriscaping (drought tolerant landscaping) and permeable paver installations;
• demonstrates methods of waste reduction: composting, consumer choices and recycled-content building materials;
• offers an environmental resource center containing books and exhibits.
